Super! That's 2nd prize in the bag. :thumbsup2:

Now if the Hun go on to win the thing, that's half the Culture Course paid for. :happy1:

My sympathy, Stamp! I have been rooting for them...

Will the team Argentina be more tired for the final?

A glorious 3rd place for the Dutch team would be preferable to becoming another Vize Champion, JMHO. What's your take, Stamp?

French eliminated by a stubborn Germany, Netherlands by a dull Argentina, life is really unfair :verysad:.

Be ready for a very boring final

Didn't someone quote Lineker that there'll be 22 men chasing the ball, and then the Germans win? I think that's what's going to happen in the final. Sigh. A Germany-Holland final would be better, I think, because the coaches would also have some interesting tactical battles too.

Totally agree. Now don't get me wrong, it's not that I despite Germans or Germans footballers (I think that the French were deeply missing their German player, Ribery :hilarious:).

It's the German football that I despite.

For me it's really like this video that we are seeing everywhere on Facebook: the one were you saw a Caipirinha being crushed by a pint of German Beer.
German are, in football as in many thing , very pragmatic people. For me their football is efficient but it is lacking some of this "latin spirit" that made the football game so popular.

Argentina however, have not been very creative during this World Cup and I doubt that Messi will do anything else than trotting around the field and waiting for his comrades to do the job for him  ....

Two of the Dutch side refused to take penalties? Failure to follow instructions, gross misconduct what would happen if a regular guy on the street refused to do as he was asked by a boss?

Praise for Louis Van Gaal for letting every one of his 23 players participate!

A fresh and hungry lesser known player may play better for 45 minutes than a tired star.
