Why are some avatars blued out and then clear up when moused over?

Umm, not sure what you are on about.

Try uploading image direct ....if you take a 'screenshot' rename and it becomes jpeg ...then upload direct and not via 3rd party program as you did before your edit.

For me no problem with images on tablet so not sure what its about Buoyant

Yours is the only member avatar on this page that is not blued out unless being moused over at the moment. When a blued out avatar is moused over, it reverts to it's correct normal coloring until the mouse leaves the avatar. Most members' avatars appeared blued out on most threads.

    blued-out = offline
    clear and bright = online

I see what you are saying. I think it is normal, e.g. on a tablet once clicked on goes from this:
    Before blue.png
    ...to this by colour change

    Clicked after.png
As I have no mouse, thus no hover, can only give comparison once clicked. Afaik nothing wrong and feature is correct. As for my duck, maybe I'm special lol.

Lol, Stamp has the answer (beat me to it whilst replying) + little green bit top left corner shows online status.

It's a software add-on so that you could see within the thread whether the poster is on- or off-line.

Can I turn it off locally? It's a real bore. What is the use of people using nice avatars if they will usually all be mopped blue? Are we the blue mop forum?
