under the poll it says multiple votes allowed. in theory each option could receive 100% of the votes cast.

As of now 4 votes have 12 people have voted (or a multiple thereof). Of those 12, 6 have chosen option c and 6 option d (though there may or may not be overlap. given that multiple votes are allowed and 12 people polled gave 17 responses it is unlikely there is no overlap). 2 have chosen option a and 2 option b and 1 has chosen option e.

I imagine if I were to take the poll I could verify the numbers, but they would have to be adjusted for my results as well.

I discovered the possibilities of using the android TV box. It's incredible. No bittorrent or downloading of youtube videos anymore for me. It's all there, if you're using the right addon. Find and select your movie, documentary or tv serie and stream it. Simple as that.

I usually bittorrent. But sometimes I'll watch movies youtube which is great if you are looking for (non-English) shows/movies with subtitles.

    Same here, sirchai.

For me it's now streaming TV all the way using the TV android box for the living room's TV but I also have the Kodi platform installed on my desktop and laptop. TV via the internet is not new to me as I have 2 TOT boxes but they don't have Kodi installed.

Finding and adding the right addons gives you access to live TV, the latest movies, movies per category, documentaries, sports, you name it.

Below are menu screen shot of a certain addon.

Thanks for the info. I thought that having a Samsung "Smart TV" would definitely solve many problems, but it takes so long for a page to load, even when I directly connected it via LAN to my router.

Then I was using a thumb drive for a while to watch downloaded movies, the technology is great.

But I finally decided to permanently connect the PC I had to buy for personal use at my former school via HDMI.

A 3 meter long USB extension cable is still connected to be able to use a thumb drive.

The USB connector at my Samsung TV is at such a shady place that you almost have to break your fingers to get a thumb drive in. No idea what these people were thinking who invented this technology.
