Teaching-- What are the Most Important Things?

    Most important is the student- teacher relationship, even when we sometimes blame too big classes, or not having an assistant.

    But acting like being a friend doesn't work either.

    I don't think that general rules work for all teachers because we're all different.

    The teacher should always continue learning new ways of getting the students' attention to make a lesson more interesting for all. Not just for those who usually listen.

    Observing each others' lessons helps a lot to see any mistakes that some of us might make.

    Finally, it makes no sense to "finish up an English book" if half of the taught material isn't understood.

    Work together nicely with Thai teachers and ocassionsly combine lesson themes. Should be done seperatly in each teacher's respective class. This will enable students to absorb both the Thai and international feels to a lesson.

    If one teaches middle school in Asia, what current research would be good to look at?

    What websites?
