Is anybody in the PRC using Super WiFi?

It claims to climb The Great Firewall of China w/out a VPN.

I am wondering what "Super Wifi" means. I take it that the meaning is this: you are sending data over a cellular frequency to and from a wireless rounter. Replacing routers (and using them), is cheaper than building new towers.

Tier-One Mobile Operator Selects Altai Super WiFi to Improve Wireless Connectivity in Major Cities

"The mobile operator recognized the upsurge in wireless data usage as a significant opportunity to increase its revenue," said Dr. Bill Wong, the acting CEO of Altai Technologies. "To cope with the increasingly bandwidth hungry subscribers, especially in the urban areas, it is very costly for service providers to upgrade the capacity of the mobile networks. By integrating Altai's Super WiFi technology with the existing infrastructure, the operator is able to offload heavy data traffic usage from its 3G/2.5G networks to its supplementary WiFi network. Altai provides a cost-effective and highly scalable WiFi solution for data offload as well as network capacity expansion."

Altai's complete end-to-end 3G data offload solution enables mobile operators to increase their bandwidth immediately at minimal cost by co-locating Altai Super WiFi base stations with their existing 3G/2G cellular sites to provide large area outdoor WiFi network.
