An interest in sports is not an obsession with sports. One reason I gave up following baseball is that drinking became part of the ritual of watching. You've done just the opposite. From what I hear about fans rioting, you might be an exception.

Football is far more than a franchise in the UK. Football is life to most young boys and for that matter girls. It's not about the pre game bar b q (trailer parties i think you folks call them) it's not about the half time show. It's not about closed roof sports where the temperature doesn't play a part. Before I go into an Football rant i would say, compare the amount of game you have. I love football because it also played around the world. Not just a couple of countries but round the world. So football matters.
