    Doing ok...

I could swear that when it first got reported that AJ had closed up that over on Phil's site he'd already took away the link to the Forum, but now when I check it's there

I can't remember whether had a written agreement with Phil or just a gentlemen's agreement.

I can't for a minute imagine Phil getting back into the forum business.

How is it that the name of the guy who provided the technical side of things for both AF and TD is never mention. Name starts with Z (I think), not Zehner though. Anybody know that guy as I sometimes wonder whether his hand is active in the background of these current transmutations?

I'm just wondering out loud really. Doesn't really matter a damn.

    Cheers folks.

^^Maybe he forgot, as I don't think Phil has much to do with the forum itself anymore.

I think Ajarn was so great at one time. I got so much great information from old hands who I really miss. People like Grasshopper (RIP), AO, MS, and you guys (Mak/Stamp). It is too bad it turned into a cesspool of sorts for some people.

Hello to Russ, FF, Joko, Paully, Po from there. I have no hard feelings. I think this forum is helpful for people in Thailand and for those thinking of going to Thailand.

    sad news about the forum.

must have been some legal mumbo jumbo...if it were about profitability, then louis would have sold it. if it were about trolling then LOL he would have been more active or gotten more mods.

the reason you shut down something immediately is to avoid some trouble or problems that that same thing is making. given thailand's habit of making defamation cases, i reckon they (The Man) threatened him with a lawsuit if he were to ever step foot in the kingdom. given that he has family there, he opted for the smart move.

    [One sentence deleted]
so it must have been over some trouble that was looming. louis doesnt seem one to fly his finger in the face of the law.

----either way, i see some AF nicks on here. :salut:

may i pull up a chair, gentlemen?

and for what it's worth (not much) although i understand the reason for doing so, the black and white site here is most grating on the eyes.

    :snaff:

(oh shit my emoticon language is freaking useless here :whaa: )

    you had to edit that?

honestly, its one of the reasons why i just never jived with thailand, intellectually. as much as i had a good time there, the level of thought control there is utterly overwhelming.

and i suppose i can see the reason for the deletion. but there was nothing negative, just a sheer mention... holy heck is that a culture of fear.

    ffs

Linking the closing of AF by Louis to the recent passing of who you mentioned made no sense and as per this Forum's rules about the royal family and posting, if the Mods decided it needed to be edited then so be it.
Anyone who knows Thailand and the way things are should understand such things and not give it a second thought.
As you said, that's why you never 'jived' with Thailand, but as this Forum is Thai based, as per most of the members and the Staff and Owner/Admin they have to keep it the way it is.

Not really. Just look at the members' profile and you'll see when they became member on TTA and how many posts posted since then.
