Yesterday was the day for ONET nationwide. Our new Education minister seems quite confident scores will be up ....let's see .....

    Full article:
Higher scores expected in O-Net tests | Bangkok Post: news

"Education Minister Teerakiat Jareonsettasin said he was looking forward to higher O-Net scores in every subject as the National Institute of Educational Testing Service (Niets) had followed his policy of providing students with content outlines and skills, which allowed them plenty of time for practice."

...so we know its all down to one man if successful eh.:thumbs up

Read as 'NIETS had followed the Minister's policy to make the ONET tests a lot easier'.

My daughter (M3) has been required to attend an extra school hour for the last six months, "training" for this weekend of testing. She is pretty clever but said the tests were difficult so I doubt higher results nationally.

Funny. I read that has 'NIETS had followed the Minister's policy to give the students all of the answers beforehand.

They can follow any policy change that is ordered but as long as the tests lack validity and reliability the test results will be poor and inconsistent.

Until NIETS realizes that test validity (internally and externally) are required there will be no significant change.
Shit by any other name is still shit.

If the results are no better expect the dissolving of NIETS. Not difficult to see where this is going..... great results back slaps all round
