So, I went to do my yearly visa at CM.

First, the office is now, after extensions and the distribution of services between Promenada and the original centre, lovely.

The staff were more relaxed and a distinct lack of tourists.

On speaking to an official she made it clear that Lampang would have its own centre within 2/3 months and the location would be the old government centre.

So next year it's no Chiang Mai for me! It will be a struggle since the new office will be a 2 minute walk!!

She said it was part of a wider scheme to bring the centres closer to the populations that use them.

I thought maybe it was Lim Ping. The Ping River is in CM, and Lim Ping could have been the name of a district.

If we rent the condo out whenever we return, I might find myself in Lampang again for a year. Anything is possible
