I am in the need of several books. I prefer second-hand for buying these particular books outright is quite expensive. Would you possibly know where I could locally find the following books?

    1. Writer's Reference with Resources for Multilingual Writers and ESL

    2. Grammar for Teachers: A Guide to American English for Native and Non-Native Speakers

    3. The Empowered Writer: An Essential Guide to Writing and Research

    Thank you for your effort....

Hmmmm . . . you might want to try the Banglampoo area of BKK. Lots of used book stores there (especially on Khao San road). You could also try Dasa Books. Dasa Books is located on Sukhumvit Road, between Soi 26 & Soi 28, directly across the street from Tops Supermarket.

Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs more They own the world of used books now, pretty much. Order from them.

For a proper used bookstore I like to go to Chiang Mai. There are several stores there, and some real finds. I like to see Penguins that have somehow survived the years and have strangely ended up in Thailand.

There are some second hand book stalls at Chatuchak Market where you can get lucky finding some rare books that are not normally available at the usual bookshops that cater for tourists but still I wouldn't expect to find there the particular books you're looking for.

Here you can download The Empowered Writer for free, http://pdf1828.owlpdf.org/empowered-writer-P-18444502.pdfbut they want credit card verification. Not sure if this is a fraud.
