    I dunno if this'll work but anyone want to swap books?

    I send you a book and you send me a book etc..

    I have..

    Bangkok Days by Lawrence Osborne

    [IMG]

    A funny, interesting read about Bangkok expat life. Genuinely interesting. If you lived in BKK around the 90's/00's then you'll recognise most of the places he talks about.

    ..up for grabs. :celebrate:

    How much would it cost via the post to do such a thing?

    I get packages frequently from a friend in Prachin, - cookbooks, recipes, the SF Chronicle, and I seem to recall a 37 baht stamp on each. perhaps up to 50 baht for postage on a book?

    I've been using a Kindle for about 2 years now, must say I'm an avid reader, at first I shunned the idea of an eReader, but now wouldn't be without it. Currently have 56 unread books loaded and get through probably 1 or 2 a week so always on the look out for new reads.
    And, as an added bonus I've saved a bucket of cash too downloading from torrent sites, wrong? Maybe but in these economic times every extra baht helps.....

    Here's a fantastic resource for free books;

    Project Gutenberg - free ebooks

    I DL'd Faust's Dante's Inferno, a very old version with full color plates. Gorgeous book. Many others also available. Check it out.

    TorrentDay suits me fine...and has increasingly larger number of ebooks available. Granted, none of them are really all that interesting to me...but for some, perhaps.

    Kick Ass Torrents (free, no invite needed - kat.ph) is also great for downloading.

    ^ Dude, what the fuck are you clicking?

    Don't even login or register...just download the torrents you want.

    Duh!

    Click ONLY where you see "Download Torrent"...if you need help with that...look where I put the red arrow. Never click anywhere else...enjoy your torrents.
