This website the wife uses along with many other market traders. Useful tool for them to know when to unpack or put up extra rain covers. Updated about every 4 minutes and covers a 60 Km radius around central BKK.

Here's a screenshot from yesterday when a storm was coming in from the south-west.

It's really useful and amazingly accurate. I wish it also indicated wind direction too as it would save having to use a weather app to figure out if the rain is coming in my direction or not.

Yup that would be good, but watch 2 or 3 frames and you will see its movement. Most of the time in the rainy season the rain is coming from the south-west or west .... hitting say Nakhon pathom province first then onto Bangkok.

Found another radar that is from the airport and covers 120KM radius, just taking in amphur muang Phetchaburi. However its on the edge of the radar thus the rainy season weather from the south west may give you little warning that its coming. Radar tracks movement over the last hour and a half and appears to be updated every 20 minutes. Where you are Stamp its about the 105KM mark... Hope that helps Stamp.

It's true that in BKK with the pollution and the buildings around you can't really look at the horizon and figure it by yourself.
    A problem that, I must confess, I don't really have :smiling ...

Just checking on the large weather radar. This link used to cover just to the middle of Phetchaburi province ...site down for last 4 days but now back up and a far bigger radius (240km) covering all of your province Stamp in real time 5 minute steps rolling for about an hour ...goes as far as a bit of the Andaman sea from BKK as its center. Enjoy watching the weather roll in.
