Just wondering if anyone has been to the newish Asiatique on the Chao Phraya riverfront? I read that it is good for shopping/shows and eating a variety of food. I used to like the Lumpini night market and I hear that this one opened to replace that market. Not sure it is worth it or if I should stick to Chatuchak market instead. Any thoughts welcome. :)

I went once. Wasn't impressed. Too many wanna-be fashion models having picture shoots by too many wanna be photographers. It was expensive too.

Personally I liked it. Great choice food-wise and you don't have to spend a fortune if you don't want to.

Thanks for your opinions. I may just check it out to see what it is about. I always liked the night bazaar at Lumpini.

I was not that impressed, ok for an evening stroll but that's about it.

They have actually built a new one on Srinakarin rd, near Seacon square.

A big market with loads of stalls to cater for every one.

A week late (don't get on here much) but I have a few pics (too lazy to dl at the moment, maybe later)

It does seem to be a place meant for social media. pose for a selfie and post it.

I did enjoy it. Yes it is a bit cheesy and overpriced, but it looks good, great views of the river and easy enough to get a beer... there are certainly worse places to visit in bangkok.
