Two reasons to use an agency: When you start teaching, you just don't know not to. The agency holds a contract to a good school. I actually turned down a contract last year get this, a very good school. Appears they had an agency, fired it but retained the horrible contract. Stripped even more out of the benefits. 12 month contract but unpaid Apr lol. 20+ hours, homeroom, EP, subjects and extracurriculars. Schools don't always offer better terms but at least they are in control of their students education. Since most don't last in agencies longer than a year, burning up a waiver is reason enough not to use an one. Agencies will always overwork you with the notion that when you quit, they just replace you with another cog. It's a formula. Schools always pay on time!
