More than one Korean student referred to her (possibly platonic) boyfriend as her "lover." That always shocked me, watching these ultra-conservative ladies talk about their "lovers" in class. Their names often involve a naughty no-no Thai word, which also took some getting used to. ("My name is HEE, YOO MIN-HEE!!" and so on)

For Sailor Moon fans, guess how Koreans pronounce Sailor Venus?

In Thailand, I suppose, any man a woman has sex with is her "husband."

To be a fly on the wall when that poor Korean teacher realizes what she's saying on that video.

Speaking of Coke, do we have any rocket scientists who have actually ordered a glass of "Tan" while in-country?

I have not, but I've seen a new teacher do it.
